After a pipe from a utility closet burst, water damaged the entire San Marcos Activity Center (SMAC). Water damaged wood floors remained in a two-court gym, three raquetball courts and three activity rooms. After removing all of the damaged flooring, the QHF crew set to providing SMAC with over 18,000 square feet of new hardwood maple flooring.
Quality Hardwood floors installed all new subflooring and northern hardwood maple used for sports floors. All of the newly installed flooring was sanded and finished. The QHF crew sanded and applied game standards for basketball, volleyball and pickleball to the gym floor.
It was important to get the activity center up and running for the eager public in a timely manner. This massive project took weeks to complete as there were many other repair operations going on throughout water-damaged facility.
